Actor Saanand Verma, known for his impeccable comic timing and memorable performances across films and OTT, is all set to bring another dose of laughter with his upcoming comedy franchise film Masti 4. The actor, who has featured in popular projects like Vijay 69, Babli Bouncer, Pataakha, Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan says this film will showcase him in an entertaining new avatar. Speaking about his character in Masti 4, Verma shares, “I’m playing a young, flamboyant, funny and absolutely crazy man. He considers himself super handsome and irresistible, believes every girl is madly in love with him, and walks around like the luckiest man alive—and shockingly, his overconfidence works for him! My look is very charming; I wear stylish, premium designer outfits and walk like a superstar who is extremely proud of himself.” He reveals what drew him to this project. “The story is extremely funny and the character is fantastic. When I read the script, I could visualise the madness, and I was instantly convinced.” The film is directed by Milap Zaveri, and Saanand had a great time working with him. “Milap is an exceptionally talented and successful writer and director. He excels in commercial cinema and ensures audience entertainment, which is what mass Bollywood cinema is all about.” Verma, who has earned acclaim for his natural comic flair, feels blessed but also hungry to explore more. “Comedy is my strength, and people love me in humorous roles. It’s a genre I enjoy and audiences accept me wholeheartedly in. But as an actor, I’m always ready to explore—you will see me doing different genres soon.” On being part of a major franchise, he adds, “Franchise films are made because the audience loves them. If the earlier parts entertain viewers, there is always excitement for the next.
